Musical initiation

Program overview

Musical initiation workshops will make the children discover their own voice and sounds, develop their artistic side, stimulate their imagination and creativity, all through playful activities. In these recreational workshops, children will “live the music” through games and exploration activities.

These workshops focus on the sensitive faculties of the children, such as auditory, tactile and visual perception, rhythm, coordination, orientation and development of their ability to listen and concentrate. In order to consider the individual within the group and perceive the needs of each child, we work in small groups (five children) for 45 minutes.

We will rely on three books, whose author is a music teacher licensed in pedagogy. The main character of the books is "Mister DO". Throughout the book, "Mister DO" tells us the activity we must perform: singing, rhythmic or melodic exercise, games with instruments, listening games, coloring, plastic arts and more! The workshops are held in French, English and Spanish. The songs and the teaching material are in Spanish.
